Lay Eucharistic Ministry

‍At Christ Church, there is an opportunity to become licensed to administer the chalice at Sunday services.  Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) have taken a course administered through the Diocese of Long Island for this purpose. Lay Eucharistic Visitors are able to visit homebound parishioners and local nursing homes, taking communion to the residents. Please see the flyer below about upcoming trainings to get involved.

There are also Lay Readers who read the Lessons at Sunday services or other special services during the Church year. Any church member can volunteer to be a Lay Reader– a sign up sheet for interested readers is posted on hallway bulletin board near the conference room.
