Bellport residents and parishioners from local churches will gather at sunrise on Easter morn for an Eccumenical Church Service. It is a special time to celebrate the Risen Christ with your friends and neighbors as the sun comes up over Bellport Bay.

We gather at 6 pm in St. James Episcopal Church Parish Hall to share an Agape meal with the other parishioners of our Deanery. If possible, please bring a simple dish to share similar to foods eaten in early Jerusalem (olives, beans, nuts, dates, figs, honey, wine, grapes, cheese, pita, hummus, bread, soup, fish, lamb, etc.). Bellport and Patchogue area church parishioners will meet at noon for walking an outdoor setting of Stations of the Cross at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Island in Manorville. This is a solemn walk commemorating Jesus’ last days. There are other vignettes of Jesus’ life depicted in statuary throughout the grounds.

You and your family are invited to an afternoon at the movies! We will be viewing King of Kings, the newly released animated film about Jesus of Nazareth. The theater is Island 16 in Holtsville.
